Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern the use of the Prompta app for iPhone and iPad, provided by GM Apps, the trade name of GABRIEL RAMOS MOREIRA LTDA, a company registered in Brazil under CNPJ 57.568.344/0001-19 (“GM Apps”). By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

These terms supplement Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to the app. In case of conflict, whatever is more favorable to you under the law prevails.

2. What Prompta is

Prompta is a teleprompter: it shows a script scrolling on the screen for reading during recordings and presentations. Prompter mode — writing, importing, organizing and reading scripts — is free. Prompta Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks controller mode and sessions between devices.

3. License

GM Apps grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Prompta on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store rules. The app, its brand, code and design belong to GM Apps and are protected by law.

4. Prompta Pro subscription

• Prompta Pro is a monthly auto-renewable subscription.
• The price is shown on the App Store before purchase, in your country's currency.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically every month unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the period.
• You can manage and cancel the subscription in iPhone or iPad Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or in the app under Settings › Manage or cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect from the next period; access continues until the end of the period already paid.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are made to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, without prejudice to your consumer rights.
• On a new device with the same Apple Account, use Restore Purchases to recover your subscription.

5. Your scripts

The content you write or import is yours. Scripts are stored only on your device; GM Apps has no access to them. They may be included in the device backup made by Apple, depending on your settings.

Deleting the app deletes the scripts stored in it. You are responsible for keeping copies of what matters and for holding the rights to the texts you use in the app.

6. Sessions between devices

In a session, the device showing the text generates a six-digit code. Anyone with the code can control the reading and edit the scripts in that folder. Share the code only with people who should have that access, and end the session when you're done.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Prompta for unlawful purposes and not to copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

8. Availability and updates

Prompta is provided as is. We work to make it run well, but we don't guarantee it will be free of errors on every device and in every situation. Updates may change, add or remove features; paid subscription features won't be removed during a period already paid.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GM Apps is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or loss of content arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update. Important changes will be announced in the app or on the website.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
